Summary/Objective

 

To receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. Will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the packing slips. To ensure we receive the correct items, qty’s against invoices and stock them appropriately within a 24 hrs. window from arriving on the dock. All receipts should be done same day and paper work turned in at the end of every work day

Essential Functions

 

  • Receiving of- Indirect, direct, samples, inter plant shipments, subcontract, etc.
  • Check in inbound inventory and administer the processing
    • Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records
    • Verify receipts and log them according to required procedures
  • Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and or overages
    • Ensure that all documents and material received in the warehouse are of satisfactory quality
    • Check for damages
  • Route items to various area’s
  • Investigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in Plex
    • Hold items and paper work in non-conforming area and will follow up every few days till a resolution is found.
  • Cooperate with representatives from other departments in the organization to provide warehouse information as requested
    • Purchasing, Accounting, Quality
  • Operate lift truck or JLG’s to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage area
    • Safely utilize forklifts and JLG’s to move warehouse materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed
  • Subcontract Shipping & Receiving
    • Receive an inspect items incoming from machine shop
    • Prep and process parts based on next op (General shipper/Send to subcontract Modules)
    • Communicate with representatives from purchasing or MFG to coordinate priorities for pick-ups/deliveries to outside vendors.
    • Process materials coming back from these services as normal incoming receiving.
    • Assist in put away practices or routing parts to other departments.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Completed High school or GED
  • Analyzing information, Inventory control, Lifting
  • Organized, manage time effectively, Safety
  • Responsible, Productive, Friendly, Detail-oriented, Creative, Committed, Collaborative, Adaptive
  • ERP and RF equipment, lift equipment, shipping/receiving/packaging.

Working conditions

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

 

This is a full-time position, Days and hours of work week are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Fridays as required 6am-12pm or longer if work load demands.

 

Physical requirements

 

Required to stand for extended periods of time

Lift heavy objects on a regular basis, must be able to lift 50lbs.

Operate of forklifts and cherry pickers

Other duties and tasks including but not limited to,

  • Assist in put away practices or routing parts to other departments and put away zones.
  • Additional duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/lead
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area.
