Summary/Objective:

Lyman Products is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Manager

Essential Functions:

 Plan and coordinate shipments to a diversified customer base that includes nationally recognized retailers in the US & Canada, international accounts, dealers and direct to consumer sales.

· Check shipping documents for thoroughness and completeness and prepare additional documentation when necessary.

· Manage inbound and outbound movement of material internally and externally to outside manufacturing processing and stock transfers to our facilities in AZ and FL.

· Determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies to our customers and facilities.

· Evaluate warehouse operations, reducing operating costs in warehouse design, product flow, and distribution process management.

· Ensures that all warehouse product is properly packaged and labeled, in good condition and in the correct inventory location.

· Monitors employee attendance, productivity, and other performance requirements and provides counseling to employees and disciplining, as required

· Strong interaction with Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing and Production.

· Assist accounting in the reconciliation of inventory variances.

· Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Warehouse and Distribution, Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

· Experience in MRP systems. Plex Manufacturing ERP System preferred.

· Strong interpersonal skills required to provide direction and supervision in a team environment.

· Knowledge of Electronic Data Interface (EDI) order processing a plus.

· Excellent MS Office skills required with the emphasis on excel.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Distribution Process Management
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Days and hours of work week are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Willing to work Over-time as needed 

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, walking, bending, speaking, hearing, good eyesight, manual dexterity (especially computer keyboard manipulation), lifting up to 50 pounds.
